I wasn't expecting much when I picked this up because I know there are a million and one "Master Public Speaking!" books out there, but this one was actually pretty informative. I didn't read the whole thing (I skimmed the whole thing though) because I've taken courses on this stuff before and I knew a lot of the information, but I did read a few tips even I hadn't heard before, so chances are, even if you're a public speaking master, you'll find a couple helpful tips in this book that you may be able to use.The only section I really read was the one on mastering fear of public speaking. It didn't help me get over my stage fright, but it did have some medical definitions and insight into the fear. I won't be able to give a speech comfortably any time soon, but this book taught me that that's because I probably have a phobia of public speaking, not just a fear of it.
All in all, I'd give this book a shot if you're interested in the topic. It's a quick read, but each page is packed with a lot of information.

The author wa a very succint and covered the basics on public speaking. This is very useful for the novice as well as the professionals out there. I really enjoyed reading through it.
This is a great guide, a great overview and checklist that a speaker can use to make sure he has all the bases covered prior to, during, and after the talk.
A good book. It's short, but it does contain nuggets of useful info on the issue, not found elsewhere. Hence 5 stars.
As I read the book, it was evident that the author wants me to be an excellent public speaker. The energy was present! I would recommend this book to students from as early as seventh grade. I was actually looking for something on public speaking to engage 12 years old son who is quite artistic and would rather his own space except on the basketball court. Parents you could use this book to get your child off to a good start in public speaking. The author announced that public speaking is no longer optional; it is necessary. The content is concise and won't feel like a new course to your child.
